Other clips emerged online throughout the day that also appeared to show a lackluster turnout with mostly small, dispersed crowds, leading some critics to mock the event.

A fifth critic joked: “Maybe people thought the Trumpster would talk about it… so they stayed away…?”

Some tried to explain the sparse attendance by suggesting it could be the sound check and not the actual performance. It is unclear whether that was the case.

Others pointed out that the fair footage was filmed on a weekday morning when most people would be at work – especially the week of the Fourth of July holiday.

This led to a conversation about the scheduling decision, when someone asked, “Why would they book this at 11am on a Tuesday?” while another person added: “Tuesday afternoon. People are at work or protesting somewhere.”
