‘Bully’ Trump gets into heated fight with GOP senator over Iran war

After the Senate passed bipartisan legislation in which four Republicans joined Democrats in ordering the president to either end the war with Iran or seek congressional approval to continue his fight, Trump met with party members.

However, according to Senator Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, things did not exactly remain calm and cordial, especially after Cassidy tried to explain why the vote went the way it did.

“He [Trump] wondered why anyone would vote for the misfortune of power. I said, ‘Is that a rhetorical question, or do you want to know?’ He says, ‘I want to know,’” Cassidy revealed to the Daily mail.

Cassidy, who along with fellow Senators Lisa Murkowski, Rand Paul and Susan Collins joined Democrats in limiting Trump’s war powers, also claimed: “I stood up and said, ‘You haven’t told the American people what’s going on. It should have taken four weeks; it took four months. Our original objectives have not been achieved, and I want to know what’s going on.'”

Apparently, according to Cassidy, that wasn’t something that eased tensions during the meeting.
