Jamaica is hitting the road again, bringing the spirit of Jamaica’s Carnival to Notting Hill | News

The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) returns to Notting Hill Carnival 2026 with Magical Mas, and this year they’re going bigger. For the second year running, JTB will perform in full costume with the Magical Mas Carnival Band at Europe’s largest street festival to mark its 60th birthday – a landmark edition that attracts an estimated two million people to the streets of West London each August Bank Holiday weekend.

On Monday, August 31, 2026, partygoers are invited to join the Jamaica Tourist Board as Magical Mas 2.0 takes over the streets. Building on a historic debut year, the partnership returns with extravagant costumes, an expansive lineup and the kind of true carnival energy that feels right at home in a 60th anniversary year.

This year’s experience promises to be iconic, with a host of special guests confirmed to be joining the bandwagon. TV presenter and DJ Tyler West, actress and presenter Molly Rainford will all be in costume at JTB and Magical Mas on the day, bringing their energy and genuine passion for Caribbean culture to the road. The trio joins a growing group of talents championing the JTB’s carnival vision. Last year the collaboration was joined by Love Island star Indiyah Polack, who brought her own Caribbean roots to the celebration.

“Notting Hill Carnival is one of the greatest expressions of Caribbean culture outside of Jamaica. It is a great opportunity for us to connect people with the island, whether they are part of our diaspora and want to feel closer to home, or someone who has never been but is curious about what the island has to offer. Magical Mas gives us the perfect stage to bring the spirit of Carnival in Jamaica to the streets of London, and we want as many people as possible to join us on the journey,” said Minister of Tourism, Edmund Bartlett.

The collaboration is about more than extravagant costumes and famous faces. It’s a celebration of Carnival in Jamaica, a season that turns the island into one of the Caribbean’s most sought-after party destinations every spring. From Kingston to Montego Bay, the pulsating soca beats, all-inclusive parties and breathtaking costume reveals have made Jamaica’s Carnival one of the most exciting events on the global travel calendar.

“We are building on the strong momentum established last year and travel agent participation in Carnival in Jamaica this year will help drive messaging around booking a ticket to Jamaica for the 2027 leg,” said Elizabeth Fox, Regional Director, UK, Ireland and Nordics, Jamaica Tourist Board.

For Magical Mas, the collaboration is an opportunity to take their community-oriented ethos to an even bigger stage.

“Last year was exciting, and this year we’re taking everything to a whole new level. Magical Mas 2.0 is bigger, bolder and more vibrant than ever. Our band is about community, culture and pure atmosphere, and when you add the incredible spirit of Jamaica to the mix, the result is something very special. We can’t wait to see everyone on the road on August 31st,” said Arnaldo Pierre, Magical Mas Carnival Band.
