Guillermo from ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ Joins ‘DWTS’ Season 35

Guillermo Rodriguez is ready to hit the dance floor.
Jimmy Kimmel’s lovable, tequila-fueled and basically mononymous right-hand man has joined the cast of season 35 of “Dancing With the Stars.”
He is the latest celebrity contestant to be announced for the upcoming season, following “The Traitors” and “Love Island” star Maura Higgins, “Summer House” player Ciara Miller and Savannah Bananas player Jackson Olson. The full cast of celebrities and professional dancers will be announced on ABC’s “Good Morning America” on September 2.
Season 35 of “Dancing With the Stars” premieres in September on ABC and Disney+, with episodes airing the next day on Hulu. Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough host the long-running dance competition series, which pairs celebrities with trained ballroom dancers to compete in thematically choreographed dance routines. The judges are Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough, and the show is produced in front of a live audience by BBC Studios.
Robert Irwin and Witney Carson were the season 35 champions, while social media personality Alix Earle and Val Chmerkovskiy came in second place. Olympic artistic gymnast Jordan Chiles and Ezra Sosa finished third, reality TV personality Dylan Efron and Daniella Karagach finished fourth and actress Elaine Hendrix and Alan Bersten finished fifth.
Rodriguez worked on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” for more than 23 years, going from a parking lot security guard to a late night talk show fixture. He appears nightly alongside Kimmel and has developed his own segments, including his drunken appearances on the Oscars red carpet.
