Visit Maldives Corporation (VMC) and CROSSROADS Maldives have signed an agreement to develop the World Travel Awards Asia, Oceania and Indian Ocean on September 27, 2026.
The agreement was signed by the CEO and Managing Director of Visit Maldives Corporation, Ibrahim Shiuree, together with Alexander Traeger, General Manager at SAii Lagoon Maldives & CROSSROADS Marina, marking the official start of preparations for the event. This milestone will bring one of the most prestigious awards platforms in the travel industry to the Maldives, welcoming key tourism stakeholders from markets across Asia Pacific, Australasia and the Indian Ocean, strengthening the ties between regions that continue to shape the future of global travel.
