WTM London expands its technology offering with the launch of WTM Travel Tech | News

WTM London, the world’s most influential travel and tourism event, is launching WTM Travel Tech for 2026, a major co-located event designed to capitalize not only on the importance of technology in travel, but also on the growing number of exhibitors, buyers and visitors interested in technology.

WTM Travel Tech has been launched in direct response to strong stakeholder demand, with the sector growing 55% year-on-year at WTM London and more than half (52%) of visitors actively searching for travel tech companies.

Housed in a dedicated new hall with a private entrance, it brings together world leaders, innovators and decision makers, with more than 46,000 trade visitors from more than 180 countries and 5,500 qualified buyers attending the wider event.

Discover groundbreaking solutions along the interactive Innovation Highway and discover how technologies such as big data, AI and IoT (Internet of Things) are shaping the future of travel and enabling smarter, more sustainable destinations.

The Innovation Highway will also showcase green technology solutions and sustainable developments that align with the industry’s commitment to a carbon-neutral future.

There will also be a theater exclusively for WTM Travel Tech content, known as the “Future Stage,” hosting leading case studies, fireside chats with senior C-suite speakers and panel discussions with industry experts.

The “Future Internship” program will be built around the following areas of interest:
Digital Transformation
Platforms and integration
AI and intelligent operations
Facts
Payments and Fintech
Geopolitics
Risk and market disruption
Distribution and retail
Investments and innovation
The Future Stage line-up is orchestrated by five newly appointed advisors: Professor Dimitrios Buhalis from Bournemouth University, Rita Varga from RaizUp; Shaon Talukder from GeoTourist, Jane Thompson from ICF and Paul Davies from Mintel.

The consultants are also helping to reshape the face of WTM’s conference content, with a deeper commitment to inclusivity and a stronger emphasis on actionable results and industry best practices. The speaker list is currently being finalized, with a range of key leaders from across the travel technology ecosystem lining up to participate. Last year, Trip.com Group, T2RL, easyJet, Sabre, Almosafer, Tourism Economics and more were on stage.

WTM Travel Tech also recognizes the importance of face-to-face interactions. Networking opportunities are baked into the agenda, including a party at the end of the second day.

Chris Carter-Chapman, Exhibition Director of WTM London, said: “Travel technology is becoming an increasingly important part of our event. We are launching WTM Travel Tech from a position of strength: we have listened to exhibitors, buyers and visitors and have come up with a proposition that reflects their changing needs in a dynamic market and builds on our successes.”
