Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano averages 12.4 million viewers on Netflix

The highly anticipated Netflix MMA card headlined by Gina Carano and Ronda Rousey drew an estimated audience of approximately 12 million viewers.

The Netflix/Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) card drew a global average minute audience (AMA) of 12.4 million Live+1 viewers, per VideoAmp, G&G Closed Circuit Events and Netflix data. Viewership peaked with nearly 17 million viewers watching the Rousey-Carano fight.

Both Rousey and Carano, pioneers in women’s MMA, returned after long periods away from the ring. Rousey had last competed in 2016 before stepping in to fight Carano, while Carano retired from fighting for acting in 2009.

Along with Rousey vs. Carano – which saw Rousey defeat Carano with an armbar in just 17 seconds – the event saw “The King of Violence” Mike Perry defeat Nate Diaz by TKO, while Francis Ngannou knocked out Philipe Lins in the first round. In the US alone, these three fights averaged 9.3 million viewers, peaking at 11.6 million for Rousey vs. Carano.

The event, the latest part of Netflix’s live sports ambitions, did not perform as well as other Netflix outings in terms of viewership. For example, Anthony Joshua’s crushing defeat of Jake Paul by knockout in December 2025 drew an AMA of 33 million viewers. Similarly, Terence Crawford’s victory over Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez in September 2025 drew an average of 36.6 million viewers. The undisputed champion is still Paul vs. Mike Tyson, which attracted an estimated 108 million viewers in 2024.

Rousey vs. Carano was produced by MVP and EverWonder.
