Asylum Ent. Group hires LaNeé Griffin to collaborate with Tyler Perry Studios

LaNeé Griffin has been named senior VP of development and programming at Asylum Entertainment Group, where she will lead development and production for the company’s joint venture alongside Tyler Perry Studios.

In this new role, Griffin will work closely with Tyler Perry Studios’ unscripted VP Antoinetta Stallings. Tyler Perry Studios and Asylum Entertainment Group announced their joint venture in May to create and produce unscripted content.

Griffin recently launched and led Parker Paige Media, where she developed projects including a first-look deal with Snapchat. Her previous credits include stints at VH1 and NBC Universal, where she worked at Universal Alternative Studio and at NBC Entertainment. Formats and series she worked on there included ‘World of Dance’, ‘Hollywood Game Night’, ‘Last Comic Standing’, ‘Running Wild with Bear Grylls’ and ‘The Biggest Loser’.

Other producing credits include the syndicated “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” Hulu’s “Dress My Tour,” Facebook’s “Cardi Tries,” Peacock’s “Hart to Heart,” Disney+’s Be Our Chef and more.
