Dida Holdings and WEX® partner to connect travel, distribution and payments demand | News

Dida Holdings, the global travel distribution platform, and WEX, a global provider of intelligent payment solutions, today announced a seven-year strategic partnership aimed at improving the way travel bookings are paid for and fulfilled in global markets.

The partnership comes about at a time when the travel industry is undergoing structural change. Discovery is increasingly being delivered earlier in the journey via social platforms and recommendation-driven environments, creating more fragmented and less predictable booking journeys. This places increasing pressure on the way transactions are executed, especially in cross-border flows. Dida and WEX are working together to build a more connected framework that better aligns demand signals with payment execution, allowing partners to improve conversion, accelerate settlement, and reduce friction between booking flows.

“The starting point for travel has shifted. Demand is taking shape earlier and in more fragmented environments than ever before,” said Daryl Lee, Group CEO of Dida Holdings. “This creates a break from legacy payment models. Our work with WEX is a critical step toward linking discovery, distribution and fulfillment in a single, integrated system. Platforms that can operate across all three tiers will have a clear advantage in capturing and preserving value throughout the transaction.”

WEX brings significant scale and experience to the partnership. As one of the world’s leading providers of virtual card travel payments, WEX processes approximately $90 billion in virtual travel cards annually and supports many of the world’s largest travel companies. The company’s capabilities in virtual card issuance, cross-border settlement and automation provide the infrastructure needed to support major travel transactions on a global scale.

Combining this with Dida’s distribution reach and demand visibility, the partnership is designed to deliver more consistent and efficient execution across the travel value chain. Hotels and suppliers benefit from faster and more reliable settlement, along with better alignment between contracted prices and resources received. Distribution partners see improved conversion and fewer failed transactions, especially in complex cross-border scenarios. Finance teams benefit from a reduced administrative workload thanks to more automated reconciliation and better insight into cash flow.

“Success in today’s travel ecosystem depends not only on generating demand, but also on how efficiently that demand is converted into bookings,” said Jason Hancock, Managing Director of Global Travel at WEX. “By connecting the way demand is generated with the way transactions are settled, we are helping partners move away from fragmented processes. This partnership brings together Dida’s distribution capabilities with WEX’s global payments infrastructure to improve conversion and accelerate settlement across the travel ecosystem.”
