Southwest Airlines is committed to Las Vegas and Orlando, connecting dozens of cities with new flights | News

Southwest Airlines is strengthening a decades-long commitment to both Las Vegas (LAS) and Orlando (MCO) by adding waves of new flights beginning this spring and continuing through spring 2027. The enhanced flight schedules build on the airline’s long-standing position as the largest carrier in both communities and bring new ways to travel nonstop between dozens of cities and two of the most dynamic leisure and convention markets in the United States.

“Las Vegas and Orlando are foundational communities in our network and places where Southwest has long provided the most service, seats and nonstop travel options,” said Andrew Watterson, Chief Operating Officer of Southwest Airlines. “We are adding to our relationship in both places, adding to the hundreds of flights per day we already offer in both communities.”

Leading in Las Vegas
In spring 2027, Southwest plans to launch new service between Las Vegas and 10 airports, which will deliver a record number of daily departures in the airline’s 45th year of serving Las Vegas. In total, Southwest plans to introduce or expand service on 26 of its 81 routes to and from Las Vegas.

Long-term commitments supported by people and infrastructure
Orlando and Las Vegas consistently rank among Southwest’s top ten daily operations bases that support established flight crews and other work groups such as maintenance, training, technology and facilities, creating thousands of locally based jobs that weave together flights and community service. In Las Vegas, Southwest employs 5,306 people; More than 4,700 people work for the airline in Orlando.
