Pan Pacific Whistler Village Center raises the bar for pet-friendly travel | News

In Whistler, where alpine adventure sets the pace, even four-legged friends are part of the fun. At Pan Pacific Whistler Village Center, the Pampered Paws package invites guests to bring the entire household, with locally made treats and pet-friendly perks, making every Whistler moment as rewarding for pets as it is for their people.
The package is available now and makes it easier for pets and their people to bond over Whistler’s best moments. Whether it’s sunrise walks through wooded paths, afternoon dips in crystal-clear lakes or leisurely evenings along the Village Stroll, the destination welcomes everyone with a sense of adventure – whether on two or four legs.
A warm welcome at the Pan Pacific Whistler Village Center sets the tone. Four-legged guests are greeted with a plush bed and a selection of local treats, including small treats from Pemberton’s WOW Treats & More and a rope toy from Whistler’s Little Pine Pet, made from recycled climbing rope. A collapsible bowl and biodegradable bags complete the set.
When plans require only fun for people, the hotel can facilitate additional services. Through Whistler Dog Sitting, dogs can take part in guided forest walks, take a cooling dip in Barking Bay or circle Lost Lake at a leisurely pace. For slower exercise, in-room seating is also available, while services such as canine massage therapy, offered by Pawesome Massage and Rehab, provide some well-deserved relaxation after a long day of exploring.
The Pampered Paws package also includes the hotel pet fee and valet parking for one vehicle, as well as access to a village shuttle and ski, snowboard and bike storage on the slopes. Guests settle into spacious suites equipped with kitchens, fireplaces and balconies – plenty of room for everyone to stretch out after a day of adventure. A heated outdoor saltwater pool and Nordic sauna provide a restorative reset.
In addition to the stay, the package gives something back to animals who are still looking for their people. For every pet night booked, Pan Pacific Whistler Village Center will donate $5 to Whistler Animals Galore (WAG), a local shelter that supports unhoused animals. This year’s contribution, made in April, is $6,752.50, building on the more than $52,000 raised over a 14-year partnership.
“As more guests travel with pets, it is becoming clear that they are not just along for the ride, they are part of the experience,” said Julie Lanteigne, General Manager of Pan Pacific Whistler Hotels. “This package is designed to make those shared experiences more memorable and enjoyable, as we continue to support local businesses and organizations like WAG.”
“We are grateful for partners like Pan Pacific who continue to champion animals in our community,” said Naomi Holliday, Director of Operations and Development at WAG. “Every contribution helps us care for pets in need and bring them closer to finding their forever homes.”
