Lufthansa is introducing a new uniform for its employees that combines tradition and innovation as it celebrates its 100th anniversary. The new outfits for cockpit, cabin and ground crew were unveiled during a fashion show at the Lufthansa Group’s ‘Hangar One’ visitor and conference center. The design was created in collaboration with many employees from all uniformed departments, who tested all styles for comfort, functionality and durability and provided the design team with valuable feedback on refining the elements. The designs were then brought to life in collaboration with the renowned fashion brand BOSS.

​After more than twenty years with the current uniform, Lufthansa is now gradually introducing approximately 40 new and redesigned uniform pieces. The Lufthansa brand colors continue to determine the look: the elegant dark blue and the iconic Lufthansa yellow. A special highlight is a cape for cabin and ground crew that pays tribute to Lufthansa’s history and at the same time symbolizes a look to the future.

​The process of jointly designing the outfits lays the foundation for a long-term collaboration between Lufthansa and BOSS. Both brands stand for quality, precision and timeless design – values ​​that are brought to life by BOSS’ strong expertise in customization. This close collaboration underlines a shared ambition to bring both brands’ identities to life for consumers, and to set new standards in quality and style in the premium travel and fashion segments.

​The rollout of the new outfits will take place in phases, starting in the fourth quarter of 2026. With this step, Lufthansa strengthens its role as a leading premium airline and sends a clear signal of innovation and the modernization of its brand.
