Natalie Portman, 44, pregnant with third child after nasty divorce
The actress, 44, who is the child of a fertility doctor, revealed the baby news in a interview of Harper’s Bazaar.
She said: “Tanguy and I are very excited. I’m just very grateful. I know it’s such a privilege and a miracle.
“I grew up hearing how hard it is to get pregnant. I have so many people I love who have had such a hard time with it that I want to be respectful of that too. It’s such a beautiful, joyful thing, and it’s not easy either.”
Portman added, “And so I know how lucky it is. I’m very aware of it and I’m very grateful. I have deep appreciation and gratitude.”
Portman is already a mother of two children – son Aleph, 14, and daughter Amalia, 9 – from her previous marriage to choreographer Millepied.
Having previously experienced two pregnancies, the actress is enjoying the ‘gratitude’ differently this time.
The actress explained: “There’s a gratitude that you don’t necessarily understand when you’re young.
“And there’s a peace and knowing myself: who I want to spend time with, what kind of energy I want around me, that makes the experience every day so beautiful. And knowing that it’s probably the last time, I cherish every moment.”
Portman admitted that she “feels great” physically and has “more energy” than she expected.
To stay ‘strong’, the star goes ‘swimming and does gyrotonics’ – and spends quality time with her two children.
In an interview in early 2025, Portman talked about motherhood and how her two children brought “excitement” into her life.
The actress said: “My children are always a source of excitement because you just see them develop into the individuals they are.
“And I’ve also spent a lot of time with my friends, with their kids and my kids; that’s quite nice.”
In March 2024, Portman and her now ex-husband Millepied split after eleven years of marriage – after the actress quietly filed for divorce.
In May 2023, before the divorce, rumors swirled about an alleged extramarital affair involving Millepied.
Regarding Portman’s quiet split, a source told People magazine: “It was very difficult for her at first, but her friends rallied behind her and helped her get through the worst of it.
“Natalie is coming out of a very difficult and painful year, but she has emerged stronger and finds joy in her family, friends and work.”
The couple met on the 2009 film set Black Swanin which Portman starred and Millepied choreographed.
