Netflix’s ‘Assassin’s Creed’ Series Adds Noomi Rapace and More to Cast

Netflix’s highly anticipated series ‘Assassin’s Creed’ has added four additional cast members.

Noomi Rapace (“Lamb,” “Prometheus”), Ramzy Bedia (“Of Money and Blood,” “Haunted Minds”), Sean Harris (“Mission: Impossible,” “The Stranger”) and Corrado Invernizzi (“Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,” “Ford v. Ferrari”) have joined the show in undisclosed recurring roles.

Based on the popular video game of the same name, Netflix’s “Assassin’s Creed” is a “high-octane thriller centered on the secret war between two shadowy factions – one focused on determining humanity’s future through control and manipulation, while the other fights to preserve free will,” according to the official logline. “The series follows the characters through pivotal historical events as they battle to shape the fate of humanity.”

Previously announced stars include Toby Wallace, Lola Petticrew, Zachary Hart, Laura Marcus and Tanzyn Crawford. Exact character details are being kept secret.

The “Assassin’s Creed” series is produced by Robert Patino (“DMZ,” “Westworld”) and David Wiener (“Halo,” “Homecoming”), who also serve as showrunners. Other executive producers include Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin, Austin Dill, Genevieve Jones for Ubisoft Film & Television and Matt O’Toole.

The video game is one of the best-selling games in history, with over 230 million copies sold worldwide since its release in 2007. Now in fourteen installments, the franchise explores the war between the rival secret orders of the Assassins and the Templars as they use advanced machinery to access the genetic memories of Assassins in different periods of the past to track down powerful artifacts called Pieces of Eden.
