Meghan Markle dubbed ‘the next Sarah Ferguson’ at the ‘Meet Meghan’ event

Tickets cost $1,900 and offer the opportunity to have your photo taken with the ex-To take star.

The revelation prompted a well-placed royal insider to compare her to the former Duchess of York. “She’s actually Fergie,” the source said The Daily Mail.

Ferguson has developed a reputation as a ‘con artist’ by exploiting her royal titles for financial gain.

And Meghan, 44, appears to be doing the same, and it hasn’t gone unnoticed in royal circles that the type of events she and Prince Harry, 41, are lining up for are a far cry from what he thought he’d be doing for the rest of his life after quitting his royal duties and burning bridges with his family.

A source said: “They (the companies involved) are barely FTSE100. I’m sure they (Harry and Meghan) didn’t think they would face falling returns so quickly.”

Meghan is said to have contacted the organizer. Her best life podcast host Gemma O’Neill, after being put in touch by a mutual friend.

The host revealed she initially had reservations and almost turned down Meghan’s offer, but concluded her podcast audience “deserved it.”

“I have admired Meghan and what she has endured… and how she has shown how a woman can be pushed down and still get back up,” she explained.

Guests can also enjoy morning yoga classes, a sound healing experience, a meditation and manifestation session at the five-star InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach.

An advertisement for the event reads: “A girls’ weekend like no other! An unforgettable weekend for women ready to reconnect, recharge and have some serious fun.

“Join us for an intimate oceanfront luxury weekend designed to bring women together for powerful conversations, relaxation, laughter and unforgettable experiences.

“The highlight of the weekend will be a personal conversation and gala dinner with Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. An intimate gala like no other.

“This is your chance to step away from everyday life and spend a weekend on connection, growth, joy and celebration.

“Come alone, come with your best friend or bring a whole group of your favorite women.”

Following the announcement, critics took to social media to express their dismay that Meghan attended the ticketed VIP event.

Another added: “Now a ‘girls’ weekend retreat’? From royal trips to weekend retreats. That rebrand took an interesting turn.”

A third commented: “Next for Meg: Hollywood Comic Con. Autographs for $25 each and she throws in a selfie.”

A fourth said: “I need to pay that mortgage!”, while a fifth joked: “Those poor girls. They should probably bring earplugs and be careful with anything to eat.”
