‘Heated Rivalry’, Cynthia Erivo and Lady Gaga win Queerties Awards

‘Heated Rivalry’, Jonathan Bailey, Lady Gaga and Cynthia Erivo were among the winners of the 14e annual LGBTQ Queerties Awards on Tuesday night in Los Angeles.

‘Heated Rivalry’ was named best TV drama. Bailey received the Badass Award, considered the ceremony’s highest honor. Gaga’s ‘Abracadabra’ was named best anthem, while Erivo won two awards: Film Performance for her work in ‘Wicked: For Good’ and Read for her memoir ‘Simply More’.

Special awards were presented to Margaret Cho (Icon Award), Megan Stalter (Vanguard Award) and Mae Martin (Groundbreaker Award). The ceremony was hosted by Trixie Mattel and will be streamed exclusively on streaming service WOW Presents Plus starting March 19.

“The Queerties represent the true voice of our community,” said Scott Gatz, CEO of Q.Digital, Queerty’s parent company. “These winners were chosen by millions of LGBTQ+ people and allies who see themselves reflected in these stories, performances and cultural moments. This is our community celebrating ours.”
