Iran warns Trump after he says new supreme leader cannot ‘live in peace’

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has indicated that the country is unlikely to resume negotiations with Washington anytime soon.
“After three rounds of negotiations, the American team said in the negotiation itself that we have made great progress,” Araghchi told PBS, according to the newspaper. Daily mail. “Still, they decided to attack us. So I don’t think talking to the Americans would be on our agenda anymore.”
He added: “We are well prepared to continue attacking them with our missiles for as long as necessary and for as long as necessary.”
As military operations continue, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth warned that the next phase of attacks would intensify.
“Today will again be our most intense day of attacks in Iran,” he said. “Most fighters, most bombers, most attacks. Intelligence is more refined and better than ever.”
Trump has insisted the conflict could end soon.
“We’ve won in many ways, but we haven’t won enough yet… we’re going to go further,” Trump said, adding: “We could now call it a huge success… or we can go further, and we’re going to go further. We will not give in until the enemy is completely and decisively defeated.”
