Visit Hungary expands partnership with Amadeus | News

Visit Hungary has expanded its relationship with Amadeus to include travel agencies in its targeted digital campaigns.

Through this partnership, Visit Hungary has increased awareness and bookings of the destination with travel agents, driving year-round demand and achieving a 20 percent year-on-year increase in bookings through travel sellers.

Visit Hungary’s use of Amadeus Media Solutions is supported by the insights it gains from extensive Amadeus Travel Intelligence, including flight searches, flight bookings, air traffic, alternative accommodation and airfares.

Using this widespread data set, the destination can shape smarter strategies that can easily adapt to the ongoing feedback from the media campaigns.

“Our ambition is for Hungary to become a top-of-mind destination for travel agencies around the world.

“Thanks to Amadeus’ targeted digital media solutions and extensive data, we can see how a data-driven approach has led to growth and higher return bookings for our destination,” said Krisztina Henyecz, Head of Business Development, Visit Hungary

The agency has been working with Amadeus since 2022 and uses its innovative Media Solutions to appeal to travelers who want to explore beyond the capital Budapest.

Through the partnership, Hungary has used Amadeus’ proprietary data to build audiences based on real travel intentions, and launch targeted digital campaigns in key markets.

One of the objectives, in addition to increasing the number of visitors, was to distribute demand more evenly; encouraging visits to lesser-known rural regions unknown to many, while also highlighting important areas such as the Balaton region.

“By combining smart data and targeted marketing, we have seen Hungary flourish as a destination and transform travel into real economic value. With a transition to an ‘always-on’ strategy, Visit Hungary can continuously refine the audience for its media campaigns, generating high-quality traffic and bookings.

“Hungary’s story shows how destinations can use data, intelligence and targeted marketing to adapt to traveler behavior so they can translate traveler intent into real, measurable growth. We look forward to continuing to work with such a wonderful destination,” concluded Jan Tissera, president, international, global accounts and Destinations, Hospitality, Amadeus.
