Former President Barack Obama clarifies claim about real aliens

After stating that the truth does indeed exist, former President Barak Obama clarified his comments about extraterrestrial life.

Following his interview discussing ‘real’ aliens – conducted by a political podcaster Brian Tyler Cohen and published on Friday, February 13 – Obama, 64, got to work on it Instagram two days later to process his claim. “I tried to stay with the spirit of [Cohen’s] speed around, but since it has gotten attention I want to clarify. Statistically, the universe is so vast that there is a good chance that life exists. But the distances between solar systems are so great that the chance that we have been visited by aliens is small,” he wrote.

Obama, who served as the 44th US president from 2009 to 2017, concluded: “I have seen no evidence of aliens contacting us during my presidency. Really!”

The politician had stated during the podcast interview that he himself had not ‘seen’ any aliens during his time in office. “They are not being held in Area 51. There is no underground facility – unless there is a massive conspiracy and they have hidden it from the president of the United States,” Obama told the 37-year-old Cohen. He also noted that getting to the bottom of extraterrestrial life was the “first question” he wanted to answer after becoming president. “Where are the aliens?” he remembered asking the authorities.

Whoopi Goldberg went a little extra on the Wednesday, March 27, episode of The View — as in otherworldly. During a chat with Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire star Kumail Nanjiani, The View cohost Sunny Hostin asked the actor, 46, if he believes in ghosts after filming the movie. While Nanjiani said, “I don’t believe in ghosts, […]

Fans made light-hearted fun of Obama’s Instagram post during his interview remarks, with one fan writing, “What aliens made you clarify this statement 😂,” and another writing, “Blink twice when the aliens made you say this.”

Obama publicly shed light on his extraterrestrial curiosity during an appearance The late-late show in 2021. While talking to the former show’s host, James CordenObama said, “The truth is, when I came into office, I asked, ‘Okay, is there a lab somewhere where we keep the alien specimens and the spaceship?’ And…they did a little research and the answer was no.”

He also told Corden, 47, at the time: “What’s true, and I’m being serious here, is that there are images and recordings of objects in the sky that we don’t know exactly what they are. We can’t explain how they moved and their trajectory. They didn’t have an easily explainable pattern. And so, you know, I think people are still taking it seriously to investigate and find out what that is.”

Obama also said this during an appearance in 2021 The Ezra Klein Show podcast, recorded after his Show up late place, that if the existence of aliens were proven, the impact of the confirmation would change Earth as we know it.

“There would immediately be discussions about: we need to spend a lot more money on weapons systems to defend ourselves,” he said at the time. “New religions would emerge. And who knows what kind of arguments we would have to deal with. We are good at making up arguments for each other.”

However, Obama noted that the world of politics would not be affected: “Because…politics is based on the fact that we are these little organisms on this little dot floating in the middle of space.”
