‘Real Housewives of New York’ Alums Star in New E! Reality show

Original ‘Real Housewives of New York’ stars Countess Luann de Lesseps, Jill Zarin, Ramona Singer, Kelly Bensimon and Sonja Morgan head south for a new reality docuseries just greenlit by Versant’s E! cabler. The 10-episode series, titled “The Golden Life,” will star de Lesseps, Zarin, Singer, Bensimon and Morgan “as they reunite with their iconic New York City group of friends in glamorous Palm Beach.”

Blink49 Studios is behind the show, which will begin filming this spring in South Florida. Versant entertainment president Val Boreland announced the news Tuesday during a panel at the Realscreen Summit in Miami.

Among the “RHONY” OGs, de Lesseps and Singer were on the show for its original 13 seasons from 2008 to 2021, while Zarin was there for seasons 1 through 4, Bensimon was there from seasons 2 through 4 and Morgan starred from seasons 3 through 13.

“We’re thrilled to welcome reality TV royalty to E! for a reunion fans have been waiting for,” said Borland. “The energy within this group has always been electric and we are excited to see it unfold into a new chapter of life at the beach.”

Cori Abraham, the senior VP of development, unscripted, at Versant, added: “A lot of people have been asking for these ladies to come back. And when the show was pitched to us, we were like, ‘Yes, we want to see it too. We want them to come back.’ And so, despite all their consequences and friendships, they are now friends. And that show has been around for 18 or 19 years. We are happy that they are now winterers. They come south in the winter, so we will be photographing them here over the coming months this winter. And it’s different in the sense that they know each other really well, and they’ve spent a lot of time together. But they are still fantastic as ever. It’s not really some sort of flipping table show. It’s more like some sort of Mahjong table show. They haven’t slowed down, and besides, they’re not really wives anymore. The majority of them are single.”

Here’s the logline: “Bound by decades of shared history, consequences and friendship, this fan-favorite group of New Yorkers starts over together in the Sunshine State. In this new ‘golden’ era of life, the old friends thrive in and around Palm Beach with fabulous second homes and a vibrant social scene. With their signature humor and non-stop jokes, the series will follow the group as they navigate dating, family and career milestones. Although the skies are clear in Florida, An unresolved drama looms when they meet again after years of highs and lows.”

Tara Long, Nadine Rajabi, Mark Ford and Ben Megargel are executive producers.
