Kristi Noem trolled through the video in which she points her gun at the DHS agent’s head

The “embarrassing” video resurfaced amid growing calls for Noem to resign amid the chaos sparked by the Trump administration’s crackdown on immigration, Operation Metro Surge.

Thousands of Border Patrol and ICE agents were sent to Minnesota to conduct immigration-related raids; However, federal agents and residents clashed almost immediately as communities gathered in protest of the arrest and deportation of their neighbors.

Tensions were high on January 7 when ICE agent Jonathan Ross fatally shot mother of three Renee Nicole Good, 37, who was sitting in her car and appeared to try to turn her car away from officers.

Less than three weeks later, VA ICU nurse Alex Pretti, 37, was shot and killed on a Minneapolis street after stepping between an officer and a woman who was being pushed. Several officers knocked him to the ground, and bystander video appeared to show an officer removing Pretti’s concealed firearm before he was shot.

Noem faced backlash for labeling the slain civilians as “domestic terrorists” and claiming they were “attacking” federal agents, despite multiple videos taken from different angles challenging the government’s version of events.
