National Lampoon’s Hollywood hustle
Mickey Rourke proves he can still play a badass on screen… this time by unloading a gun in a heated action scene from the new movie “National Lampoon’s Hollywood Hustle.”
In a new clip – obtained by TMZ – Rourke is seen saving the day during a shootout, firing a gun at a masked man and sending him tumbling off a drive-in movie screen.
Rourke also uses his acting chops with an expletive-filled tirade, railing against Hollywood and saying he doesn’t trust people in the industry because they just want to “blow your ass and steal your money.”
Rourke stars in the film Alec Baldwin, Danny Trejo, Tara Reid, Carrot topand others – all playing exaggerated, fictionalized versions of themselves. The plot revolves around the sudden disappearance of a film’s bank account, putting everyone’s careers at stake.
‘National Lampoon’ leans deep into the real-life chaos many stars have experienced — and the timing couldn’t be more fitting for Rourke, who currently facing deportation from his rental home in LA and stayed at a hotel in West Hollywood.

TMZ broke the story… Rourke’s manager urged him to do so accept job offers which were presented after fans raised nearly $100,000 for him via GoFundMe. So far, Rourke has shown little interest and continued to pursue opportunities that would pay closer to $200,000 per day.
Rourke filmed ‘National Lampoon’ in 2024, and a lot has happened since then… but the film could be crucial in putting him back on the map as the leading man he wants to be.
