Miles Teller has his wife’s wedding dress remade after destruction by a wildfire

Odometer thoughtfully had his wife Keleigh Teller‘s wedding dress was recreated after the original dress was lost during the devastating Los Angeles wildfires earlier this year.

“Is this my wedding dress?” Keleigh, 33, asked Miles, 38, after she opened a large red box containing the garment bag in a TikTok video shared on Friday, December 26, showing tears at Miles’ surprise gift. “Oh, my God. Oh, my God.”

Miles and Keleigh, who have been married since 2019, lost their home in the January wildfires that destroyed thousands of acres, homes and businesses in Los Angeles and killed hundreds of people. Although the couple was able to evacuate the city limits in time, they did not take all their belongings with them.

“To everyone who reached out, I can’t thank you enough, your kind hearts meant the world, I will never forget them,” Keleigh wrote on January 10 via Instagram. [and] we will come back stronger than ever.”

She continued, “I wish I would have packed my wedding dress, I wish I would have done a lot else, but it doesn’t matter, stay safe, go away 💔💔. There are no words. THANK YOU to the first responders who are fighting.”

Miles later revealed that he and Keleigh were able to grab “very few” souvenirs during the evacuation.

“[My wife and I] never thought [the fire] would come to where we were, it is very residential,” said the Eternity said star The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in February. “We weren’t surrounded by brush or anything.”

He continued, “Fire is scary. I grew up on the East Coast and hurricanes, in Florida, usually a lot of the time, scare you for a week. You gotta have some warning. But the fire, man, it moved fast.”

Miles, who was able to save his late grandfather’s watch, and Keleigh have also received support and help from their loved ones.

“A lot of people have reached out to us, letting us know that they are emotionally present, or people offering us their seat,” Miles said. E! News that same month. “I’m a Deadhead, so a lot of people have reached out to Keleigh saying, ‘I want to send Miles a Grateful Dead shirt.’ Little things just mean a lot, so it was very heartwarming.”

Miles became choked up from reliving the ordeal while hosting Saturday evening live last month.

SNL has always been one of the most consistent parts of my life. I lived in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Delaware, [New] Jersey and Florida all before I was 12,” Miles said in his opening monologue. “I’m so happy to be here with all of you. A lot has happened since the last time I hosted [in 2022]. A few months ago my wife and I lost our home to the Palisades fire.”

He concluded, “Don’t worry. Seriously, don’t worry. We’re doing great. That experience has made me incredibly grateful to have so many places to call home.”
