Etihad Airways takes home three awards from the World Travel Awards 2025 | News

Etihad Airwaysthe national airline of the UAE, was awarded The world’s leading airline customer experience, the world’s leading airline Economy Class and the world’s leading airline lounge Business Class for the Etihad Airways Premium Lounge at Zayed International Airport during the World Travel Awards Grand Final Gala Ceremony 2025 in Bahrain.

In recognition of the airline’s extraordinary performance over the past year and the exceptional standard of quality that Etihad maintains, travel experts and professionals from across the industry nominated Etihad in 13 categories, including: World’s Leading Airline, World’s Leading Airline Rewards Program – Etihad Guest, and World’s Leading Airline Cabin Crew. The airline’s award-winning hub in Abu Dhabi, Zayed International Airport, was also nominated for World’s Leading Airport and World’s Leading Airport Customer Experience.

2025 was a record year for the airline, with unprecedented strategic growth and an unparalleled customer experience. In August this year, Etihad introduced its brand new A321LR aircraft, a ground-breaking investment that has enabled the airline’s major network expansion this year and set new standards for short and medium-haul travel, a key milestone in Etihad’s strategy to offer premium products. Offering widebody comfort for single-aisle flying, the A321LR offers two private First Class suites, 14 fully flat, window-facing Business seats with direct aisle access, and 144 well-spaced Economy seats, all with 4K screens and high-speed Wi-Fi.

In October this year, on the World Travel Awards Middle East 2025, Etihad won five prizes in the regional awards: The world’s leading airline customer experience, The world’s leading airline Economy Class, The world’s leading inflight airline entertainment. The world’s leading Business Class for airline lounges for the Etihad Airways Premium Lounge at Zayed International Airport, and The world’s leading cabin crew.
