When the couple left the royal family in 2020, they moved to California and became more involved in Hollywood. Both Harry and Meghan took on roles behind the camera and signed a huge deal with Netflix, but she always teased returning to her acting roots.

‘I’m done [acting],” Meghan shared Variety in a 2022 interview. “Never say never, but my intention is absolutely not to do that.”

It seems something changed her mind. In November 2025, news broke that Meghan had stepped back from set. Multiple outlets reported that Meghan had joined Lily Collins, Brie Larson, Jack Quaid And Hendrik Gouding for the movie Make personal friends.
