Jerry Bruckheimer refers to the new ‘F1’ film, ” Top Gun ‘3 at Ent & Tech

Jerry Bruckheimer left Hints over a possible follow -up to “F1: The Movie”, “Top Gun 3” and a new “Pirates of the Caribbean” episode during his conversation on Thursday at the Summarement & Technology Summit.

But usually the experienced producer spent his broad conversation with Variety‘s Clayton Davis explains the task that is often difficult to define – the role of a producer – and discussing the state of the film industry.

Bruckheimer played a blockbuster this summer with director Joseph Kosinski, Apple and Warner Bros. With “F1: The Movie”. Many saw the film as a risk for the American market, since Formula 1 racing is not nearly as popular as in Europe. But that is exactly why it clicked on the American plywoods, said Bruckheimer.

“It gave you a great ride and you were immersed in this world that you didn’t know anything about. And when you walked away, you knew much more about what these drivers are going through. They are some of the greatest athletes in the world. There are only 20,” Bruckheimer told Davis.

Stars Brad Pitt and Damson Idris “Trained for four months to manage these cars. They are so difficult to drive. And they go 220 miles per hour. Our boys only went around 180. But only the speed and technology and the things they did to make that film as good as it has become – we said it was so hard to do it,” BRUCKSHEHEE, “BRUCKSHEHEIJERER.

Bruckheimer gave Kosinski and Apple the honor for the pursuit of camera innovations with which the director could capture the incredible racing images that made “F1” as satisfactory as a film experience.

“Joe is trained as an engineer and architect, and he is so precise about everything,” said Bruckheimer. “He loves our company, he likes to tell stories. He is a phenomenal technician who looks at 16 different camera branches on that car, four at a time. They developed new technology so that we could put these cameras on the car. The camera was half as large [2022’s} “Top Gun” Maverick.” And that’s such an interesting way of looking at coming inside a world with, takes you inside this phenomenal sport and makes you almost a part of it. You felt like you were driving those cars the way Joe designed it and photographed it along with [cinematographer] Claudio Miranda. “

“F1: The Movie” was released at the end of June and raised $ 624 million worldwide. All those investments have paid off to give film fans a reason to see “F1” as a cinema event, the producer said.

“It is up to us who are in this industry to make entertainment that people want to leave and see their house,” said Bruckheimer. “We all have kitchens in our houses, right? But we all like to eat out. But you want a good meal and we have to give them good meals. And the more we have our great writers, our great actors, our great directors really work hard to bring something to the audience they want to see.”

To this end, Bruckheimer recommends renting a driven actor such as “F1” star Pitt or Tom Cruise, his “Top Gun” employee.

“If you work with Tom or Brad, they have been added in no time because they just want to win. They want to make a great film. They want a great achievement. They want to make sure they can promote the film, that audience will love it. They just want to win,” said Bruckheimer.

Davis worked hard to draw film scoops from Bruckheimer. The producer did not give up much, but he nodded at a few controversial prospects among what he said were around 30 projects in different stages of development. ‘We are still developing a’ top gun ‘. Hopefully we will make another ‘F1’. We are working on a different ‘pirates’, “said Bruckheimer. “We are working on many different films that have become successful and hopefully we can make them all.” (Davis was quickly lasting: “Are we going to call it” F2? “)))

Bruckheimer Has a Long Resume in Film and TV that includes a Slew of Notable Pics and Cultural Touchstones from the 1980s to the present day: “American Gigolo,” “Flashdance,” “Beverly Hills Cop,” Peparl, “Top Gun,” ” Rock, “” Black Hawk Down, “” National Treasure, “” CSI, “” The Amazing Race, “” Cold case, “” without a track “and” Fire Country “in this phase of his career. But he closed his time on stage with a sincere, Capra-like explanation about why he continues to do practical work of making films and TV programs in the trenches after five decades.

“It is best to do, to entertain people. It’s no longer about the money. It’s about the smile that you put on the faces of people, the fact that you move them,” Bruckheimer explained. “You take them away from their lives for a few hours, and make sure they feel better or feel something when they walk away. And that is the pleasure that I get when I stand in a audience and watch one of our films where people are actually moved. And that is what you are trying to achieve.
