Amazon brings streaming to Masters Golf Tournament

Amazon Prime video takes another swing in a sport that depends on exactly things like that,

The streaming giant said it will join CBS Sports and ESPN as an American broadcaster of the Masters Tournament, managed by the Augusta National Golf Club, which brings that top event to broadband distribution for the first time. Amazon shows two extra hours of coverage of the first and second round, starting with the 2026 tournament.

The Masters will stream live on Prime Video from 13:00 to 15:00 on April 9 and April 10, which are deployed on both days in ESPN’s regular late afternoon and evening reporting. CBS will broadcast the Masters Live from 2 pm to 7 pm on April 11 and April 12, preceded every day by streaming coverage on Paramount+ from 12:00 to 2:00 pm

“It is an honor for all of us at Amazon to become a broadcast partner of the Masters Tournament and to offer fans extra hours of live reporting of this cherished event,” said Jay Marine, head of Prime Video US and Global Sports, in a prepared explanation. “We are humble and proud to start our relationship with Augusta National Golf Club, and we can’t wait to get started.”

In recent years, Amazon has made noticeable Inroads in TV sports, and has won some rights to “Thursday evening football” and the acquisition of NBA and NASCAR rights. The Masters have been associated with Linear TV for years, with CBS broadcasting it every year, but once since 1956. ESPN has enjoyed rights since winning them in 2008, after a stint when the tournament was shown to the US.
