Charlie Kirk Dead: political activist and commentator was 31
Charlie KirkThe conservative commentator and the head of Turn Point USA, died on Wednesday 10 September, after he was shot during a speech at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. He was 31.
“It is with a heavy heart that we, the leadership team of the Turning Point USA, write to let you know that Charlie went to his eternal reward this afternoon with Jesus Christ in heaven,” read a Keerpunt statement, released on Wednesday evening.
President Donald Trump Also reported Kirk’s death in a post via Truth Social.
“The big and even legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead,” he wrote. “Nobody understood or had the heart of the youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by everyone, especially me, and now he is no longer with us. Melania and my sympathies go to his beautiful wife Erika and family. Charlie, we love you!”
The shooting took place around 1:20 pm local time while Kirk spoke as part of his American comeback tour. Images that were shared on social media let Kirk shoot in the neck while he spoke from a tent in the courtyard of the university.
A person was taken into custody shortly after the shooting, but that person is not considered the suspect, according to several reports.
The suspect shot a single shot from about 200 meters away, according to CNN.

Kirk was founded in 2012 in 2012 at the age of 18 -. In the following years he became one of the most influential voices in conservative media. His podcast, “The Charlie Kirk Show”, is in ninth place on Apple Podcasts for news from Wednesday afternoon.
A narrow ally of Trump, 79, Kirk worked directly with him during his presidential campaign 2024. Trump attributed him after the elections helping young voters.
Kirk married former Miss Arizona USA Erika Frantzve In 2012. The couple shared a 3-year-old daughter and 16 months old son.
