‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ season 3 Determines premiere date, unveiling teaser

The third season of “Jujutsu Kaisen” will premiere in January 2026, Crunchyroll revealed during a live streamed fifth birthday special for the Crunchyroll Anime Award-winning series.

Crunchyroll streams the new season exclusively worldwide, excluding Asia, with episodes that fall on the same day every week as their Japanese broadcast. The coming season, also called ‘Jujutsu Kaisen the Culling Game’, will adjust the Manga -Boog with the same name.

The first teaser -trailer shows protagonist Yuji Itadori who is struggling with conflicts and despair after he believed that he killed countless people during the ‘Shibuya incident’. The preview also has an intense battle between Yuji and Yuta Okkotsu, the main character from the Prequel film “Jujutsu Kaisen 0”, together with a heated confrontation between new character Naoya Zen’in and Choso. Short performances by Megumi Fushiguro, Yuki Tsukumo and Maki Zen’in the teaser.

Mappa returns as the animation studio, with Shota Goshozono directing and Hiroshi Seko Handling Series Writing composition and script. Yosuke Yajima and Hiromi Niwa will offer character designs.

The Japanese voice cast includes Junya Enoki as Yuji Itadori, Yuma Uchida as a Megumi Fushiguro, Daisuke Namikawa as Choso and Megumi Ogata as Yuta Okkotsu.

Based on the Manga of GEKUTAMI, “Jujutsu Kaisen” has sold more than 100 million copies worldwide. The Manga closed its run in weekly Shonen Jump in September 2024. The first anime season was broadcast from October 2020 to March 2021, followed by a second season about the hidden inventory/premature death and Shibuya incident -arches -arches -arches.

The series earned Anime of the Year Honors during the Crunchyroll Anime Awards in both 2021 and 2024. The theatrical film “Jujutsu Kaisen 0” won the best anime film in the 2023 Crunchyroll Anime Awards and brought around $ 180 million to the worldwide cash register.

The Anime is produced by Toho Animation, with VIZ Media publishing the Manga in the US
