Secret Service of Kamala Harris’ stepdaughter in altercation, man arrested

Kamala Harris‘stepdaughter, Ella Emhoffgot into some trouble this week in the Big Apple — or rather, her Secret Service handler… and it ended with an arrest.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ… Ella, the second gentleman Dough Emhoff‘s child – was in New York’s Tribeca neighborhood on Tuesday afternoon, grabbing a bite to eat at a restaurant … all while her Secret Service colleague stood guard outside the door.

We’re told that while she was inside, one of her officers – who was dressed in plain clothes – had an altercation with what we’re described as an “anti-police ranger.”

Basically… this guy goes around making a fuss about NYPD parking placards given to law enforcement agencies… so they can park without having to drive an entire block.

In this case…our sources say the guy in black came up and engaged with the Secret Service agent in blue seen in the video…apparently not realizing he was an agent… .assuming he was a cop abusing his parking privileges.

During the altercation — part of which was captured on video and obtained by TMZ — the man ripped a license plate off one of the Secret Service vehicles… and that’s when the police were called.

You see the guy being led away in handcuffs. Our sources say he was arrested, but it is unclear what he was charged with.

An eyewitness tells us that Ella and a friend – who were inside the entire time this was all happening – were rushed out and placed in one of the SUVs seen in the video.
