NotebookLM’s Video Overviews feature now supports 80 languages

Google announced On Monday that it has updated the video overviews of NotebookLM to support 80 languages, including French, German, Spanish and Japanese. The company has also upgraded audio overviews, which improves non-English audio compromises to be more detailed.

Last month, NotebookLM launched video overviews so that users could convert their notes, PDFs and images into video presentations. Previously only available in English, this update is favorable for non-English speakers who want to learn from visual summaries in their preferred language.

Moreover, audio overviews are also getting better for non-English users. It was originally limited to short summaries, with the full version just in English. Now users can get more in -depth overviews in more than 80 languages. The company says that there will still be an option to get a shorter overview if the user only wants the highlights.

These updates are designed to meet the needs of the worldwide audience of NotebookLM, which means that users learn via video or audio entitlements, regardless of which language they prefer.

From today, these updates are available to everyone and will be rolled out worldwide in the coming week.
