Jeff Bezos’ Mother Jackie Death on 78 after the diagnosis of Lewy Body Dementia

The beloved mother of Jeff Bezos, Jacklyn, better known as “Jackie”, is dead at the age of 78, Radaronline.com can reveal.

The Bezos Scholars program of the Amazon billionaire announced That Jackie died peacefully in her house in Miami on Thursday, August 14.

“A quiet final chapter to a life that all of us, both friends and family, taught the true meaning of grit and determination, kindness and services to others. Jackie’s life was the second only for her passion for family and meeting,” was the statement.

Bezos’s mother was diagnosed with the progressive neurological disorder Lewy Body Dementia in 2020 and had healthcare providers in health care in her last years. Jackie’s husband, Miguel “Mike” Bezos, took care of his wife during her illness and “stayed by her side at every step of this trip.”

Jackie “fought with the same dignity and courage that was every aspect of her life,” revealed the statement about her health crisis.

Jackie was born on December 29, 1946 in Washington, DC, and her family later moved to New Mexico, where she grew up.

The death notice on the site of the Bezos Scholars program told about the determination and strength of Jeff’s mother, especially when he was a young boy.

“As a young, single mother, Jackie was relentless – Night school lessons followed after high school and work in a bank during the day. Her service overlap overlap overlapping with a young Cuban immigrant who worked in the night service named Miguel (Mike) Bezos. The two fell in love and were married on April 5, 1968, in what the start of a deep end would be a deep end of their life.

The couple, who were married for almost 60 years, had two children together, Christina and Mark. Mike adopted Jeff when he was four years old and raised him as his son. The biological father of the Tech Titan is Ted Jorgensen and Jeff is a product of Jackie’s short first marriage.

Jackie and Mike created the Bezos Family Foundation in 2000, together with their children and families.

Jeff’s mother was very involved in two programs with the foundation: Vroom, “A worldwide early learning initiative that translates leading brain research into accessible, usable tips to cherish the growing spirits of children”, as well as the Bezos Scholars program, to support students in the US and Africa.

Unfortunately, Jeff’s mother was unable to attend the lush Venice of her son, Italy, wedding celebrations when the founder of the Blue Origin made the decision with Lauren Sánchez at the end of June.

Mike represented himself and his wife there and arrived two days prior to the formal wedding of the power couple on July 27.

The father and son are incredibly close.

“The reality, as far as I’m concerned, is that my father is my natural father,” said Jeff Waded Magazine in 1999: “The only time I ever think of it is really when a doctor asks me to fill in a form.”
