PBS Socal -Leads; KVEA is at the top of news broadcasts

PBS Socal (KOCE/KCET) led the 2025 La Area Emmy Awards with eight total, but the other big winner of the Night was KVEA-TV of Telemundo, who all three the station prizes for the best news broadcasts took home-for daily morning (daily ()) ()).
The Emmy Awards in Los Angeles from 2025 were held on Saturday at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles, organized by Spectrum News 1 Host/Anchor Kelvin Washington.
Jim Hill was recognition with 2025 Los Angeles Area Emmy Governors Award, for his five decades of career in the broadcast and 45 years as a Sportcaster at KCBS/Kcal in Los Angeles. The prize was awarded by former La Laker star James Worthy.
Bob Bain and Bob Bain Productions produced this year’s event, with categories, including live and breaking news reporting, crime and social issues, culture and history, art, health and science, human interest, music, sports and the environment.
Kvea and Kmex both landed on Saturday seven Emmys-Allotaal-a strong double show for LA’s top two Spanish-language stations. KABC-TV and KTLA-TV followed three each, while Spectrum News 1 and Spectrum Sportsnet LA got two each.
