Hugging Face’s new robot is the Seinfeld of AI devices

The new programmable accessible mini bots from Hugging Face were launched this week. The AI robots are open source, raspberries Pi-driven and are supplied with cartoon-like antennas and large googly eyes. They don’t do much out of the box. And that is a bit the point.

Today, on the TechCrunch stock podcast, Kirsten Korosec, Max Zeff and Anthony HA Dig organizes in the launch of Reachy Mini, who collected a surprising $ 500,000 in sales in the first 24 hours. While Open Source companies such as a cuddly face explore physical products, Kirsten and Max agree that Reachy Mini might be the Seinfeld of AI hardware: the bots can do nothing in particular, but they are still fascinating.
