‘Bridgerton’ Ster Jessica Madsen joins Amazon Viking series ‘Bloodaxe’

Jessica Madsen is cast in the Viking drama series “Bloodaxe” from Prime Video as Gunnhild, the wife of the Viking Raider Erik Bloodaxe.

The character of Gunnhild is also called the mother of Koningen. As mentioned earlier, Eric Bloodaxe is played by Xavier Molyneux.

Madsen is known for Cressida Cowper in Netflix’s “Bridgerton”. As an opponent in the world ‘Bridgerton’, the character of Madsen often spreads gossip on other debutantes. The actor was also released in the films “Leatherface” as Clarice, “Rambo: Last Blood” as Becky and “Dark Light” as Annie Knox.

The historic drama produced by MGM Television follows the climb of the couple. “While they are fighting for the throne of Norway, the country is torn apart by violent rivals, shifting loyalty and bloody betrayed. With warns and chaos that consume the kingdom, in the ruthless kings of other Scandinavian countries and even a powerful English linator, the podium is set for a tumbling, cool.

The series was made by Michael Hirst and his son, Horatio Hirst, who also both serve as show runners, writers and executive producers. Other executive producers are Morgan O’Sullivan via O’Sullivan Productions, Steve Stark via Toluca Pictures, John Weber, Arturo Interian, Sheila Hockin and Fred Toye.

Michael Hirst previously created the series “Vikings” and Executive produced his follow -up “Vikings: Valhalla”. Horatio Hirst, an actor who roles on “Vikings: Valhalla” and “Billy the Kid”, makes his writing debut with “Bloodaxe.”

“Bloodaxe” will start filming in Ireland and Iceland in the summer.
