Japanese manga adjustment ‘bet’ renewed for season 2 at Netflix

Netflix has renewed “Bet”, the live-action series, inspired by the Japanese Manga “Kakegurui” for a second season after strong global achievements in which the show dominated international viewing graphs.

The gambling drama of the boarding school spent three consecutive weeks in the worldwide top 10 of Netflix for the English -language series after the first release, whereby his international attraction is cemented among subscribers worldwide that the teenage drama embraced with high effort.

The series revolves around St. Dominic’s, an exclusive private academy where elite teenagers from all over the world compete for registration. Barry developed the series for television based on “Kakegurui” (which means “Compulsive Gambler”), the popular Shōnen Manga series made by writer Homura Kawamoto and illustrator Tōru Naomura. Since the debut in 2014, the source material has produced 18 parts, which sets up a dedicated fan base.
