‘The Pitt’, nobody wants this’ victory at 2025 TPEC Awards

TPEC (Television Publicity Executive Committee) has announced the recipients of the annual 2025 TPEC Awards, in honor of publicity campaigns on television.
The TPEC prices were held in Los Angeles, where the ceremony recognized individual performance, including the Ben Halpern Lifetime Achievement Award of this year to Chris Ender, the Executive VP and head of communication at CBS and the Inaugural Press Impact Award to Michael Schneider, Variety‘s Executive editor, television.
The TPEC Awards highlights programming campaigns and publicity of every genre and platform. “With more entries than in recent years, every campaign reflected an incredible range of creativity, innovation and strategy of all platforms,” said TPEC chairman Wendy Zocks, founder of Wendy Zocks PR. “It is inspiring to see the impressive work of our talented colleagues-plus the well-deserved recognition of industrial icons Chris Ender and journalist Michael Schneider, who have increased both our work and our stories as our rising Star recipients who continue to help TPEC.
In addition to individual performance, TPEC hopes to emphasize new publicists in their early careers for their work and create campaigns to inspire the next generation. This year’s rising star recipients are Lauren Dundee at MGM+, Charlotte McManus in Amazon MGM Studios and Leah Palacios at Disney Branded Television and Freeform.

Ben Halpern Lifetime Achievement Award Receiver – Chris Ender, Executive VP, Head of Communicatie, CBS
With regard to Ender, the Exec has been with CBS since 1996 and is currently “supervising external and internal communication and media relationships in all CBS divisions, including entertainment, news and stations, sports and studios, a role that he has held since 2020.” He started his career at Bender, Goldman & Helper Public Relations before he later served as vice president of media relationships for Sony Pictures Television.
Schneider has been covering the company of television for 30 years – most of that time VarietyWhere he is now an executive editor of TV. He was previously executive editor at Indiewire; The Chief Content Officer for TV Guide Magazine; And TV editor at Variety and Daily Variety.
The TPEC Award Committee said that the winners selected “With a view to fully realized, innovative and creative campaigns that had a cultural impact. The committee also considered work that carefully embraced diversity and inclusion, unexpected roadblocks and eventually reached press hits that had the goals and strategies.”
