Joey Chestnut Eying 80 Hotdogs in the return of Nathan, “Go drop the hammer”

Joey Chestnut Can be hungry … tell TMZ Sports He is ready to “drop the hammer” in his big return to the Nathan’s hot dog competition in the next July 4 – and he has an incredible goal in mind.

We caught up with the biggest Eater Terris in the world that he would compete again in the tradition of Independence Day after a year away because of sponsor sterns … and he wants to make up for lost time.

“You have to go without anything to know how much you appreciate,” Chestnut said. “I’m certainly hungry for this year. Two and a half weeks, I’m going to put down some hot dogs.”

“I’m going inside … I’m going to drop the hammer. From the first minute to the last moment, I want to be dominant.”

As for how dominant … Chestnut said it would be a “dream” if he could darken 80 tube steaks in the belly as soon as the 10-minute timer would be some four more than his event record.
