You will remember that Huston posted a video in August that showed the prize – which he won during the Skateboard Competition of July Men’s Street – had already started peeling and chipping.
But luckily Huston said that it is now being “resolved.”
“They are going to repair the original,” Huston told us. “What I think it is actually a lot cooler than just replacing it because I would still like to have my original medal.”
However, he added that he didn’t really have that much problem with the damage.
“I was still on the rough version,” he explained.
Huston also revealed us this week that it is his goal to try to add an Olympic medal to his CV – saying that he wants to compete in the Los Angeles games of 2028 … Although he will be 33 years old.
“I can’t say that I am going outside there in the expectation to get another medal,” he said, “but I am going to do everything I can do to keep myself healthy until then and to work on some new tricks and try to keep these young weapons.”
