Nicole Kidman on her blonde wig in ‘Nine Perfect Strangers’ season 2

The wigs of Nicole Kidman have practically become their own characters in the dozens of projects that the Oscar winner made on television and film.

The newest is a sharp blonde bob that she wears as the mysterious wellness -guru Masha in the second season of Hulu’s “Nine Perfect Strangers”.

“Everything is very specific,” Kidman told me during the season 2 premiere event in Beverly Hills. “It was chosen for a reason because she has very strong intentions and agendas.”

Kidman said it was the only wig she looked at after it was picked by her old hair and make -up artist Noriko Watanabe. “It’s very fast,” Kidman explained. “We just thought of the character and the atmosphere, how she should be and what she should look for.”

Kidman also explained why she wanted to repeat Masha for a second season. The premiere season was based on the novel of the same name, while there was no book for follow-up. “This time it was free rein,” she said, adding that it is “fun to play” a woman with strength. “So often I play women who are emotionally in a very precarious place and Masha is just a badass.”

Christine Baranski reconsider her future contracts after playing a rich customer of Masha’s who arrives in the spa with her much younger lover (Aras Aydin). “I have the boy’s toys on my arm,” she said smiling. “I said:” It should be in my contracts that I should have great clothes, funny lines and a young lover in whatever I do. “

“Nine Perfect Strangers” marks the acting debut of singer-songwriter King Princess. She plays a celebrated pianist whose partner (Maisdson-Sellers) convinces her to try Masha’s unorthodox treatments.

“You know what is even more meaningful than a strange couple [on the show] Is having a really toxic strange couple because it is a step bigger, “said King Princess.” It is not only gay representation because of it. They are two people who are extremely defective. We find them in the midst of a six -year relationship with all their luggage and their nonsense. We reach maximum lesbian capacity. Should give something, you know? “
