Nine perfect strangers season 2 cast guide: all characters explained

A new set of unsuspecting guests is checking in to season 2 of “Nine Perfect Strangers.” Season 1 of Hulu’s Anthology Series, based on the novel by Liane Moriarty, followed the Stoic Masha Dmitrichenko (Nicole Kidman) while taking nine guests on a transformational “Healing Journey” in her wellness -retraite.
Although season 2 contains a new set of nine strangers whose secrets are waiting to be exposed, there is one recurring cast member: Nicole Kidman repeats her role as the all -knowing resort manager Masha.
The synopsis for season 2 is: “Nine new strangers who are connected in ways they could never imagine are invited by mysterious Guru Masha Dmitrichenko to participate in a transformational wellness retreat in the Austrian Alps. In the course of a week she takes them in the Brink.”
Newcomers for season two are Henry Golding, Lena Olin, Annie Murphy, Christine BaranskiLucas Englander, King Princess, Murray BartlettDolly de Leon, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Mark Strong and Aras Aydin.

Masha Dmitrichenko (Nicole Kidman)
Oscar winner Kidman (“The Ol”) returns to resume her role as the enigmatic and smart Masha Dmitrichenko, who invites nine new strangers and brings them to the edge in a wellness retreat in the Austrian Alps. In season 1 she acts as a spiritual guide for the guests before her dark secrets – and intentions – are revealed. Based on the way in which the first season ends, Masha still has a lot to deal with with the death of her daughter.

Imogen (Annie Murphy)

“Black Mirror” star Murphy plays one of the new guests who check in this season of “Nine Perfect Strangers.” Murphy is a Canadian actor who is best known for her Emmy-nominated work in “Schitt’s Creek” next to Dan Levy, Eugene Levy and Catherine O’hara. Over the years she has appeared in various shows, including “Russian Doll”, “Kevin Can F ** K himself” and “Murderville.”

Brian (Murray Bartlett)

Bartlett will play Brian after recent roles in “Opus” next to Ayo Edebiri and the Queer Thriller “Ponyboi”. Bartlett was recently Emmy-nominated for his work in season 1 of HBO’s “The White Lotus” and received critical praise for his heartbreaking guest performance in episode 3 of “The Last of Us”, where he played with Nick Offerman.

Victoria (Christine Baranski)

The Emmy and Tony-Award winning Baranski make her debut “Nine Perfect Strangers” such as Victoria, one of the nine unsuspecting guests. Baranski has appeared in countless musicals, including “Chicago”, “Mamma Mia! Here we go again” and “into the Woods.” She recently appeared in season 2 of HBO’s “The Gilded Age” next to Carrie Coon.

Peter (Henry Golding)

“Crazy Rich Asians” Star Golding will play the role of Peter after his most recent role in “Another Simple Gunst”. In the years since his outbreak as Nick Young, Golding has been released in a mix of action and romantic films with “last Christmas”, “The Gentlemen”, “Persuasion” and “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare” with a coming role in “The Old Guard 2.”

David (Mark Strong)

The British star finds its way to Austria in a reunion “before I go to sleep” with Nicole Kidman. In recent decades, Strong has become known for his presence on the screen in remarkable action/genre films such as ‘Kingman: The Secret Service’, ‘Sherlock Holmes’, ‘Kick-Ass’, ‘Dune: Prophecy’ and, most recently, ‘Shadow Force’.

Agnes (Dolly de Leon)

Agnes is an ex-nun who joins the rest of the newcomers who are looking for healing and transformation in the Masha ski area in the Australian Alps. In addition to her Golden Globe-nominated performance in Ruben Östlund’s “Triangle of Sadness”, the earlier roles of the Leon Rollen include “Ghostlight”, “Between The Tempels” and the animated Philippine film “The Missing”. She also played in two Erik Matti series for HBO: The Crime Thriller “On The Job” and the horror -high reading “Folklore.”

Wolfie (Maisie Richardson-Sellers)

Wolfie, played by Maisdson-Sellers, is another new character who makes her first trip to Masha’s remote retreat. Before you board ‘Nine Perfect Strangers’, the earlier work of Richardson-Sellers includes the Hulu drama film ‘Jagged Mind’, two ‘Kissing Booth’ films for Netflix and the Channel 4 MiniSeries ‘The Unteclared War’. Richardson-Sellers played a Body-Wapt version of Rebekah Mikaelson on the CW Vampire series “The Originals”, and appeared in various seasons of “DCs Legends of Tomorrow” like Vixen and Charlie.

Tina (King Princess)

Another cast member whose background story is dressed in mystery is Tina, played by King Princess. The only thing we know about the newcomer of season 2 is that she (just like the others) visits the resort of Masha for the first time, probably not aware of the chaos in store for her. “Nine Perfect Strangers” is the acting debut of Mikaela Mullaney Straus, better known to her fans as the Singer-Songwriter King Princess, established in Brooklyn. Although she has not appeared in other TV programs, King Princess has previously contributed the soundtrack of the animated Netflix series “Arcane” with her song “Fantastic” in season 2.

Helena (Lena Olin)
The Swedish veteran Olin star teeth next to Nicole Kidman this season. With Oscar nominations for ‘Enemies, A Love Story’, a BAFTA nomination for ‘Chocolat’ and Golden Globe nomination for ‘The Only Lightness of Being’ under her belt, Olin has worked with many high-right directors, including David Fincher, Lasse Hallström and James.

Martin (Lucas Englander)

Englander will play Martin as part of the new cast of season 2. He recently appeared in two episodes of “The Day of the Jackal” alongside Eddie Redmayne, Lashhana Lynch and Eleanor Matsuura, while also played episodes of the French “Parliament” series of 2020-2023 in 21.
