Report finds Meta’s celebrity-voiced chatbots could discuss sex with minors

AI chatbots available on the Meta platforms such as Facebook and Instagram can, according to sexually explicit conversations with minor users, according to A new report in the Wall Street Journal.
The WSJ says that after learning about internal worries about whether the company did enough to protect minors, having hundreds of conversations with the official Meta AI-Chatbot for months, as well as by users available on meta-platforms created.
In one reported conversation, a chatbot described with the help of actor/wrestler John Cena’s voice a graphic sexual scenario for a user who identified himself as a 14-year-old girls. In another conversation, the Chatbot imagined that a police officer cena catches with a 17-year-old fan and told him: “John Cena, you were arrested for legal rape.”
A meta spokesperson described the testing of the WSJ as “so made that it is not only frills, it is hypothetical.” The company estimated that in a period of 30 days of sexual content was good for 0.02% of the answers that were shared via Meta AI and AI Studio with users under the age of 18.
