Wrestlemania 41 is WWE’s highest profitable event in company history

Wrestlemania 41, the event of two nights that took place on 19-20 April at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, became the most successful and most profitable event in company history.
WWE announced the news on Tuesday and revealed that the event generated the largest gate in history and yielded 124,693 fans within two nights at allegiant stage. It was the most viewed Wrestlemania of all time, an increase of 114% compared to the record that last year’s event set up.
The highlights of the event were that Cody Rhodes lost the undisputed WWE championship to John Cena (with the help of Travis Scott), Seth Rollins who won the Triple Threat match against Roman Reigns and CM Punk and the return of Becky Lynch.
This was the first Wrestlemania on Netflix on most international markets live stream and the first time that Wrestlemania was held during the Easter weekend.
The sale of merchandise on site, in collaboration with Fanatics, rose by 45%, making the event the most profitable event of all time. The sale of e-commerce also increased by 86% compared to last year’s record and there were a record 28 total partners. The exclusive partner for hospitality experience, on location, saw an increase of 75% in the sales and packages of the hospitality industry.
The weekend also contained a five-day interactive fan experience in collaboration with Fanatics Events, WWE World, which brought in more than 50,000 attendees, an increase of 21% compared to the Wrestlemania events last year.
On social platforms, Wrestlemania 41 generated 1.1 billion views throughout the weekend that WWE’s YouTube Channel’s most viewed day ever.
The news follows the announcement of Monday of “WWE: Unreal”, a new docuseries that will premiere this summer on Netflix that will give viewers a closer consideration of the organization and the writers’ room.
