Corpses Juju Watkins‘Coach is not much worried that her star player will soon be back to her normal self – Lindsay Gottlieb tells TMZ Sports The 19-year-old does “great” in her rehabilitation … and attacks things with a laser focus.
Watkins, of course, tore her ACL On March 24 in an NCAA Tournooipame … but Gottlieb told us this week this week that she shows a lot of signs that she will be fine.
“She’s doing great,” said the Sideline manager of Trojans. “She’s doing great. She is in focus mode, Rehab mode.”
The injury normally takes about 12 months to recover … and Gottlieb made it clear that they will not hurry back.
But early signs seem to indicate that she might be near March Madness next year – as Gottlieb told us: “Everyone is enthusiastic about the program and the team that we have built and we will come back.”
If the Trojan horses want to return to the tournament, they should not only do it largely without Watkins – but also star players Kiki iriafen And Rayah MarshallBoth were selected in the WNBA design of Monday.
Gottlieb, however, said she was pumped to see Iriafen and Marshall reach their dreams – even if she can’t have them at her court next year.
Regarding her advice for the duo while they go to the pros – Gottlieb kept it simple … “They have to go to training camps and be themselves.”
