HomeServices of America mentions Chris Kelly CEO, to replace Blefari

Blefari remains advisory for the organization, including work with the Berkshire Hathaway home service -franchise network while it is expanding its executive leadership.

“It was the honor of your life to serve as president and CEO of HomeServices of America,” Blefari said in a statement. “I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together and the exceptional team that we have built. I am looking forward to supporting our new leadership team in leading homeeservices in the next chapter of growth, innovation and continuous leadership in industry.”

Kelly takes on the role of President and CEO and brings more than 25 years of experience in the real estate sector. He started his career as a real estate and financial lawyer before joining the company in 2007 as the general counsel for the Kansas City established Reecenichols.

He later served as president and CEO of the Ebby Halliday companies In Noord -Texas.

After a report from March of Compass In “advanced conversations” to acquire homeeservices from America from Berkshire Hathaway, Blefari led the company reaction and denied that a deal was coming.

“Many of you are perhaps aware of articles published today in the Wall Street Journal and elsewhere, stating that Huizen van America was in conversation to be sold to Compass,” he wrote to company brokers. “I want to confirm that there are no discussions, negotiations or similarities to sell house services or one of its affiliated companies, and that includes the Berkshire Hathaway home service franchise company.”
