Rodents and rodent droppings were found in three garages, while droppings were also found in two Casitas and three barns.
Staff of the Ministry of Health said that the risk of exposure to Hantavirus in the primary home of the couple, which was considered clean, was low, CNN reported.

The cause of death of Arakawa was confirmed as a Hantavirus long syndrome. The infection is usually caused by the inhaling of Hantaviruses that have become in the air by rodent urine, droppings or saliva, according to the Mayo Clinic. Because the treatment options are limited, the Mayo Clinic notes that the best protection is to prevent contact with rodents and to safely clean up rodent habitats.

We will seriously miss him and have been destroyed by the loss.”
