Melissa Gilbert honors Jack Lilley after the death of ‘Little House’ Star

“Little House on the prairie” star Melissa Gilbert shared an emotional tribute to her series Co star Jack Lilley, who died at the age of 91 in the Motion Picture & Television Fund Retirement Home on Wednesday.

Lilley played an internship coach driver and other roles in different seasons on ‘Little House on the Prairie. Gilbert went to Instagram To honor her deceased friend and colleague.

“The Little House family has lost one itself,” wrote Gilbert. “He taught me how to ride on a horse when I was only a little little thing. He was so patient with me. He never said no when I would squeak to him,” Can we go? Please, please, please, please, please? ”

In addition to looking back on “Little House” memories, Gilbert also described Lilley’s long film and television career, including reunification with Gilbert on a Western pilot called “then Came Jones”, who also played a Mary Elizabeth Winstead at the time.

“It was a pleasure to shoot and I was so shocked when it wasn’t picked up. It was all very synchronistic,” Gilbert shared. “Our first reading, however, was in Paramount Studios, where we had shot Little House for the first four years. I also found out that we would photograph on Big Sky Ranch, where we had shot ‘Little House’ … I walked to the set itself and before I could even concentrate, I heard a well-known voice, At that moment I knew I was at home.

Gilbert ended her farewell with a Shakespeare and a wink to Lilley’s nickname for her. “Oh Jack … Dear Prince … can sing angels of the day to your peace. Always love, your half -point.”
