Rob Lowe had many ups and downs in the course of his career.
RadarOnline.com can reveal the most shameful scandals of the actor while he became 61 on March 17.
The now 61-year-old has been open about his journey to austerity after he decided to go to rehabilitation in 1990 for alcoholism and substance abuse at the age of 34.
Lowe confessed that the road to rehabilitation was not easy and included many ‘baby steps’.
He said to people: “Becoming sober was an incremental decision. They are baby steps until you’re done. You can’t do it until you’re really ready.”
One of those first steps was when he saw Warren Beatty in the 1975 film Shampoo.
He said: “It’s a great movie, but in the end he is a bon Vivant, charming playboy with nothing.

Another “baby step” was when he was in the center of a leaked sex tape in 1988 when he was 24 years old.
Lowe was seen with a then 16-year-old girl Lena Jan Parsons and her 23-year-old girlfriend Tara Surt. The St. Elmo’s Fire Actor had reportedly picked them up in a club in Atlanta before she brought back to his hotel.
After the tape had leaked, Lowe insisted that he did not know that Parson’s was a minor. He later decided a lawsuit with her family and was not accused of a crime.
But that did not mean that the tape did not return to chase it.
His son John, 29, opened in 2023 about discovering the tape that his father never told him about.
John told the health of men: “I was in the eighth grade or the first year of high school, and a child said,” You know, your father has a sex tape online. ” I had something like: “What?” “
He further explained that his parents never talked about the scandal.
John continued: “I don’t think most parents ever have that moment when they sit and go:” Ok, we have to tell you something. ” A child just discovers it.

As he thinks about the scandal, Lowe later said that it was “the best thing that happened to me” because it led him to change his hard festive ways.

“It was one of the reasons why I became sober. One day I woke up and said:” What am I doing with my life? 29 years in. “”
