Dolly Parton’s Hospital Dash with husband Carl Dean unveiled

While their marriage was dressed in mystery, the Land icon made no secret of the fact that she worshiped her withdrawn partner.

The first meeting of the couple in 1964 was hardly the most romantic locations – the laundry – and Parton claimed that she immediately knew that Dean would be her future husband.

The couple made the decision back in 1966, and despite the incredibly successful career of Parton in the music industry – her husband remained out of the spotlight.

They never welcomed children during their marriage.
