‘Delhi Crime 3’ from Netflix throws Huma Qureshi as a series -villain

The International Emmy Award-winning Indian series “Delhi Crime” is preparing for the third season, with much-praised actor Huma Qureshi who participated in the Stellar Ensemble Cast.

The series, which took home the international Emmy for the best drama series in 2020, is currently in postal production.

Qureshi, fresh from her Filmfare Award victory for “Maharani 3” of Sonyliiv, gets into the role of the most formidable antagonist of the show so far and goes opposite each other with Shefali’s beloved character DCP Vartika Chaturvedi, referred by her team As “Madam sir.”

“I was excited and honored when the makers approached me to play the opponent for the third season of this internationally praised show,” said Qureshi. “I hope we will continue to entertain the audience with the third episode of the show.”

The new season sees the return of Core Cast -members Shah, Rasika Dugal as ACP Neeti Singh and Rajesh Tailang as BhUpendra. Tanuj Chopra returns as a director and showrunner.

The much -praised crime drama, produced by Golden Karavan and SK Global Entertainment, has earned praise for his authentic representation of the Indian capital by real inspired criminal cases in Delhi.

Since her debut in Anurag Kashyap’s cult classic ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, which was shown at the Cannes 2012 film festival, Qureshi has built up an impressive career that includes eclectic roles. Her recent work includes Neyflix’s Neo-noir crime thriller “Monica O, My Darling”, the biographical drama “Tarla” about cookbook writer Tarla Dalal, and the body-positive dramedy “Double XL.” In the streaming space she has earned compliments for her role in the political drama ‘Maharani’, winning several Filmfare Awards during his seasons. She made her debut in Netflix’s dystopian series ‘Leila’, directed by Deepa Mehta.

The actor, who recently appeared in Zack Snyder’s “Army of the Dead”, adds “Delhi Crime” to a diverse slate of upcoming projects that include “Jolly LLB 3”, “Bayaan” and “Gulabi”. She also dared to write and made her literary debut with “Zeba: An Accidental Superhero”, a book that has resonated with young readers worldwide.

The third season of “Delhi Crime” is planned to stream exclusively on Netflix, with a release date that is immediately unveiled.
